The Master of Arts in Professional Writing (MAPW) will prepare you for a writing career in television, film, education, publishing, business and the literary arts. Since the graduate program’s founding in 1995, its students and alumni have found success in numerous writing-intensive fields.

Concentrations
In the MAPW program, you select one concentration and either one or two of the remaining concentrations as the support area(s).

The Capstone Project
This six-credit hour course (PRWR 7960 MAPW Capstone Project) will conclude your M.A. in Professional Writing degree. Click the button below on the overview of the process.
